Update:
As far as I can tell, the forums are fixed and everything is running smoothly. I’m 99% sure there will be no more issues but if you come across anything, just let me know and I will fix it asap. The site is now fully hosted on the new server and I must say, things are much quicker.
Update:
I told you we would be back very, very soon. There are only a couple of hiccups with the forums. They should be resolved by this evening.
The move is officially underway!
We will be back very, very soon.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT !!!!!
WE ARE MOVING!!! This is old news to some but we have been having several issues with our current web host over the last few months and it is time to move on to greener pastures. We are moving to a new provider on a dedicated server so all of the downtime and slow performance we have experienced lately will be a thing of the past. Woohoo. This is especially important as the online store nears and will also make room for several new features that will allow our dedicated users to have their own private sites. (more on this later)
The only drawback you all may experience is the website going offline for 24-48 hrs. I am going to try and perform this move this weekend, time permitting. I will post here and in the forums at least 24hrs before the scheduled move.

Just a little update on the network issues our host is having. Basically, the site has been up and down sporadically for the last few days. This is the first chance I have had to post about the issue and it looks like things are stabilizing. But if Driftopia becomes unreachable again, we’re still here, our host is just having one hell of a bad week.

So here we are, it’s March and the work load around here has been maddening. For the non-sports fans, count your blessings, you just missed a very corny reference. But innuendo aside, what you are reading right now is one of the last posts on what will soon be Driftopia.com’s old home page. The layout of the site is being redesigned to make room for a new online parts store to complement the tech blogs, project updates, stories and forums, which will remain intake (sp) and alive as ever. (yeah, that should have been intact, got cars on the brain)
As for the store, we will be offering a whole line of parts for a wide assortment of performance cars, focusing mainly on rear wheel drive platforms. But what I am extremely eager to announce is the addition of Driftopia.com performance parts. And these aren’t just the run of the mill parts. Those who know me know that I not only enjoy drifting but pretty much any kind of motorsports. Specifically, road racing, auto-x and time-attack. As such, I am personally fabricating and testing several items that fill very specific and functional needs for cars designed for drift and for grip. As these new parts near completion, they will become available for order in the online store.
